On July 31, 2024, the Mijwan Welfare Society proudly inaugurated the 8th Ma Ki Roti Centre in Kalan, Sultanpur at 1:00 PM. The ceremony was graced by Mrs. Chandani Arya, Garment Industry Expert, who cut the ribbon to mark the occasion.
Presided over by Ashutosh Tripathi, Manager of Mijwan Welfare Society, the event highlighted the significance of self-help groups in empowering women. The place has been identified for potential growth and needs in locals. Key attendees included Sanyogita Prajapati, MWS Board Member; Suneel Kushwaha, Craft and Livelihood Manager – MWS; Jai Kishan Pandey, Coordinator – Rozgar Dhaba and Ma Ki Roti Project; Mohan BBM – NRLM; Pankaj Chaturvedi; Vikesh Kumar; Rajesh Yadav, Principal – UPS Ambari; and Virendar Yadav, Social Worker. Ashutosh Tripathi expressed gratitude to all participants for their support and dedication to community upliftment.
Our Macrame Training Program under the SAMRIDHI Project, supported by the Share and Care Foundation, USA, was inaugurated on July 1, 2024, by Mrs. Chandni Arya. The training commenced on July 15, 2024, and within 15 days, the trainees have explored new techniques and are now able to create items such as wall watch frames, beach costumes, rakhis, and coasters. We are really thankful to our trainer, Ms. Ishita Rastogi, a textile designer, for her commendable job.
