The whole world is witnessing a disaster like never before. The unprecedented COVID-19 crisis has crashed economies, broken health-care systems, filled hospitals, and emptied public spaces.
Along with frequent hand-washing, wearing a mask or face covering may minimize the spread of COVID-19. If we lower the likelihood of one person’s infecting another, the impact is exponential, so even a small reduction in those odds results in a huge decrease in deaths.
